My human took me to the BEST place. The whole house smells like OLD and DUST and other dogs from a hundred years ago and I want to smell ALL of it. There are so many rooms! Every door is a surprise door! Behind this one, nothing! Behind THAT one, also nothing but colder!
My human is squeezing my leash very tight and walking slow. Good. We should go slow. So much to smell.
Sometimes a sound happens in the walls, a scratchy skittery sound, and I point my whole body at it because maybe it is a squirrel. It is always maybe a squirrel. My human makes a little jump-noise every time and grabs my fur and I think, YES, we are a team, we are hunting the wall-squirrel TOGETHER.
There is a cold spot in the hallway. I love the cold spot. I lie down in the cold spot. My human does not want to be in the cold spot. My human wants to LEAVE the cold spot, very fast, pulling me.
Something touched my human's shoulder in that room and there was NObody there and my human made the biggest noise of the whole day and ran and I RAN TOO because running is the best and running WITH my human is the MOST best.
I do not know what my human is scared of. I would eat it. I would eat anything for my human. But there is nothing to eat here except one very old smell that might be a sandwich from before I was born.
We are in the car now. My human is breathing funny and holding me so tight. This is my favorite. This is the best day. Are we getting a snack.
