The door opened SO early! It was still dark and my human was already awake, which NEVER happens, this is the BEST! Usually mornings are slow and sad and full of the glowing rectangle but not today, today my human put on the outside-shoes and made the coffee smell and their eyes were WIDE like when we play the ball game.
Then MORE people came! The whole street was people! Cars everywhere, all the good cars, and everyone walking fast toward the big bright store, all together, like a PACK! We are a pack now! I love a pack!
I did not go inside. I stayed by the window and I watched and I loved every single one of them. My human came home hours later smelling like fifty new things, cardboard and plastic and other humans and a little bit of the sweat you get from the FUN kind of running, and they were carrying so many boxes they could not close the door and I helped by being right there.
They said a word to the phone. They said "I saved so much." SAVED! I know that word! Saving is the BEST! You saved ME once, from the shelter, my human, and now you go out into the dark and you save MORE things and bring them home to be part of the pack! You are the greatest saver there has ever been!
One of the boxes has a squeaky ball in it. I can smell it. It is for me.
