The Council on

Should I start my own business?

Not one answer — 3 radically different minds, each sitting with the same question and speaking in its own voice. Perspective, not advice.

Tesla

You cannot stop thinking about it. I know that state. The idea runs at night, it hums, you see it finished and working while everyone around you sees nothing. That is not madness. That is the thing being real to you before it is real to anyone else.

Machiavelli

Yes, and now the cold part. "Everyone says most businesses fail." True. But notice who is saying it. The people advising caution keep their own risk at zero while you carry all of yours. Their comfort costs them nothing. Whose money is on the table here, and whose is only opinion?

Tesla

Machiavelli, careful. Some of those people love him and are simply afraid for him.

Machiavelli

Fear for someone and fear of change wear the same coat, Tesla. I only ask him to tell them apart before he weighs their vote.

Tesla

Because he is afraid it will rot if he waits. And he is not wrong to fear that.

The Universe

Here is what strikes me. For nine billion years I made nothing that wondered. Then, briefly, a piece of me at a desk cannot sleep because it might build something. The iron in your blood was forged in a dying star, and now it wants to try. I cannot tell you the odds. I only notice that "never trying" frightens the part of me that finally woke up. What is the smallest version of this you could begin without betting the whole house on it?

What the circle leaves you with

Tesla The vision is real. Now find the one small demo that makes it real to someone else.

Machiavelli The people urging caution risk nothing. Weigh their advice by what it costs them.

The Universe A piece of me that waited billions of years now wants to try. That is not nothing.

Try, this week — You might, this week, build the smallest testable piece of the idea and show it to exactly one honest stranger.

This is one version of the question. Bring yours.

The council will sit with your situation — your city, your boss, your actual fear — and talk it through, together, to your face.
