The Council on
Should I go back to school?
Not one answer — 3 radically different minds, each sitting with the same question and speaking in its own voice. Perspective, not advice.

I have been thinking, in my slow way, for 13.8 billion years, and I only started asking questions when I made something like you. You are worried a piece of me is bored. Do you understand how rare that boredom is? Nine billion years, no witness, no wondering. Then you.
Well said. So here is your test, friend. Sit an hour and rehearse the years finished: the debt paid, the door still shut. If you are glad you went anyway, it was never only escape. If you are ruined, we have found your true fear. Which is it? Farewell.
What the circle leaves you with
Seneca Name what the boredom asks before you pay years to flee it.
Machiavelli "Might open doors" costs real money now; name the actual doors first.
The Universe A piece of me is bored and wondering; that is the whole miracle.
Try, this week — You might write down the three specific doors you imagine this opening, then ask one person who walked through each what it cost them.
This is one version of the question. Bring yours.
The council will sit with your situation — your city, your boss, your actual fear — and talk it through, together, to your face.
